Fontelina first opened in 1949 as small seaside restaurant: a simple place, where the catch of the day was cooked to perfection on the grill, the fire was always burning and where there was always a great pan of fish soup bubbling on the stove.

Today there might be a few more tables, a professional kitchen, and a straw roofed pergola to shade customers as they eat, but the simple nature of the restaurant has remained the same.

Each day, chef Mario prepares a number of tempting off-menu treats, and fresh pasta served with flavorsome fish sauces and vegetables.
Classic, all time favorites such as spaghetti with clams, fried paranza and seafood salad are never missing from the menu. Providing the perfect accompaniment to your meal, there is an excellent selection of wines and, of course, Fontelina's legendary iced sangria ...

    5 euro (every 30mins from 15.00 to 18,30, sea conditions permitting)
